For our client, a leading energy company and one of the largest producers of electricity from renewable energies in Europe, we are looking for a Senior Financial Controller
Description
Preparing of budget figures and forecast for legal entities and projects aligned with commercial project management, entering figures into SAP;
Investigate, analyze and explain P&L and balance sheet variances, proactively identifying risks and opportunities;
KPI monitoring and performance analysis;
Managing monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing activities and consolidated financial reporting for subsidiaries under IFRS;
Presenting financial figures and analyses to management;
Posting and reconciling intercompany transactions and prepare elimination entries for consolidated financial statements;
Performing and overseeing master-data creation, validation of cost centers, WBS elements (PSPs) and profit centers in SAP and coordination with local finance and project teams;
Back up for approval of purchase requisitions and purchase orders (BANF);
Performing internal control procedures according to group standards;
Support the preparation of materials and analyses for the Supervisory Board;
Being point of contact for various stakeholders, VGP Equity interest, Group Controller, accounting, finance, tax;
Actively participate in the Company's audit process, taking responsibility for preparing and thoroughly reviewing the information required by auditors and support the preparation of statutory and consolidated annual accounts;
Support Financial & Controlling Manger in day-to-day professional duties;
Conducting financial modelling for acquisitions and investment cases and strategic projects;
Conducting impairment tests und valuations in line with IFRS requirements;
Communication with project managers regarding crucial assumptions and parameters of projects valuations;
Harmonization of processes, standards and best practices .
Requirements
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Controlling, preferably in an international or group environment;
Degree in business administration, finance or accounting, preferably with professional experience in accounting;
Proficiency in English (written and spoken);
Proven expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and in SAP tools;
Preferably experience with IFRS reporting and consolidation.
