For our client, a multinational company in the oil and gas industry, we are looking for a Professional Contract Management.
Description
Ensuring that all contracts for goods, services, and maintenance — such as raw material procurement and service agreements — are strategically negotiated, legally compliant, cost-effective, and effectively executed to support organizational goals and mitigate risk;
Managing the acquisition process for raw materials and chemicals, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing in compliance with internal policies and external regulations;
Evaluating, selecting, and monitoring suppliers and service providers, ensuring performance, compliance, and adherence to contract terms;
Ensuring all contracts and purchases comply with relevant legal, safety, and environmental regulations (e.g., REACH, OSHA, GHS);
Maintaining oversight of the service/maintenance contracts from initiation through renewal or closure, including tracking deadlines, deliverables, and payment terms;
Identifying potential contractual or supply chain risks and proposing mitigation strategies;
Liaising with departments such as legal, procurement, production, maintenance, and finance to align contract terms with operational needs;
Supporting cost analysis, budgeting, and tracking of contract-related expenses to ensure financial efficiency;
Tracking supplier performance against KPIs, resolving disputes, and generating reports for management decision-making; Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all contracts, amendments, and related communications for audit and compliance purposes.
Requirements
Business-relevant academic education or equivalent qualification, together with a good knowledge of the energy (especially oil & gas) industry and associated process safety risks;
Experience >3 years in contract management or procurement, preferably in mechanics, electronics, manufacturing, or chemical industries;
Strong knowledge of SAP, Ariba, contract law, procurement processes, and supplier management;
Good understanding of hazardous material regulations (e.g., REACH, OSHA, GHS);
Good knowledge of English (written and oral) and MS Office suite;
An analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines simultaneously.
