For our client, an important banking institution, we are looking for an Oracle Database Administrator.
Description
Manage and optimize Oracle and PostgreSQL database environments (on-premises & Azure-hosted);
Ensure high availability using RAC, Data Guard and replication technologies like GoldenGate/Qlik Replicate;
Design and maintain backup & recovery strategies (RMAN and cloud-integrated solutions);
Perform patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management of database platforms;
Optimize performance, availability, and cost within Azure-based deployments;
Automate database administration tasks using Ansible and scripting (Shell/Python);
Perform deep performance analysis (AWR, ASH, execution plans);
Monitor database environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager and modern monitoring tools;
Implement database security best practices (access control, encryption, auditing);
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements (e.g., financial sector standards, GDPR, DORA);
Support audit processes and provide necessary documentation;
Work closely with application development teams for database integration and optimization;
Collaborate with infrastructure teams (Linux/Unix, networking) for system-level improvements;
Support deployments and database-level configuration changes;
Ensure standardization of database administration practices;
Proactively identify risks and communicate mitigation strategies.
Requirements
Minimum 6+ years of experience in a similar Oracle DBA role in an enterprise environment;
Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL database administration;
Hands-on experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and GoldenGate/Qlik Replicate;
Advanced SQL and database performance tuning skills;
Experience working with Microsoft Azure-based environments;
Experience with Ansible and scripting (Shell/Python);
Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills;
Proficient level of English, both spoken and written;
Ability to work effectively with global IT teams and within centralized governance models;
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
Structured, reliable, and security-conscious working style.
