For our client - manufacturer of electronic and mechatronic equipment for industry, delivering innovative and high-quality solutions, we are recruiting a Material Planner, from Sibiu.
Description
Purchasing raw materials within the time fence to ensure continuity of supply at the highest level while maintaining optimal costs and inventory levels;
Maintaining proactive shortage identification and inventory management, flagging root causes and taking corrective actions;
Collaborating closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, and coordinate with internal teams to address overdue orders and operational discrepancies;
Ensuring optimal planning parameters for materials, including pricing, safety stock, lead times, and lot sizes to balance cost efficiency and inventory levels;
Leading supplier process improvements to optimize end-to-end performance and KPIs;
Supporting supplier selection and material changes to ensure reliable and cost-efficient supply;
Optimizing sourcing models (VMI, consignment) through material selection and parameter tuning;
Analyzing demand and KPIs to optimize inventory planning and resolve forecast deviations;
Optimizing inventory through parameter tuning, slow-moving analysis, and obsolete stock management. .
Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably in business administration, industrial engineering or logistics;
Minimum of 5 additional years of professional experience in Material Planning and Execution;
Proficiency in English (spoken & written) is an absolute must;
Proficiency of German is a plus;
Good understanding of SAP R/3 or SAP S4 (MM module) and openness to AI-driven or RPA-optimized planning tools;
Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and basic knowledge of LEAN manufacturing processes / Value stream optimization;
Good MS Office experience, including excellent spreadsheet skills;
Basic knowledge of project management, having at least partially managed smaller projects;
Analytical and organizational skills.
