For our client, a rapidly growing business backed by a private investment fund, which is pursuing an ambitious expansion and consolidation strategy in the fitness industry, we are looking for a Logistics Manager.
Description
Monitoring and optimizing inventory levels across all locations to ensure product availability while preventing stock shortages or overstock situations;
Forecasting inventory requirements based on business needs, sales trends, and operational demands to support efficient planning and procurement activities;
Maintaining accurate records of all company assets and monitoring their condition, utilization, and lifecycle to ensure operational continuity;
Planning asset maintenance, upgrades, and replacement programs while controlling associated costs and minimizing equipment downtime;
Arranging and coordinating domestic and international transportation activities, including carrier selection, shipment scheduling, and delivery tracking;
Negotiating transportation agreements and resolving logistics issues to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective distribution operations;
Organizing and overseeing warehousing, storage, and distribution processes through internal facilities and/or third-party logistics providers to maximize operational efficiency;
Implementing continuous improvements within warehouse operations to enhance productivity, inventory accuracy, and service levels;
Coordinating activities between suppliers, manufacturers, logistics partners, and customers to ensure smooth execution of the supply chain process;
Managing production, delivery, and installation schedules while proactively resolving disruptions, delays, and supplier-related issues;
Monitoring logistics expenditures and identifying opportunities to reduce transportation, warehousing, and operational costs;
Optimizing logistics networks, shipping routes, and resource allocation to improve efficiency and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Requirements
Professional experience in logistics-intensive environments such as retail, e-commerce, fitness equipment, construction, food and beverage, manufacturing, distribution, or import/export businesses;
Hands-on experience working with logistics and supply chain management systems, including ERP, WMS, and TMS platforms, combined with advanced Excel and reporting capabilities;
Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple logistics, warehousing, transportation, and asset management activities while meeting deadlines and business objectives;
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to identify operational inefficiencies, supply chain disruptions, and cost optimization opportunities and implement timely corrective actions;
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, contractors, and internal teams;
Proven leadership skills, including coordinating cross-functional teams, driving operational performance, and ensuring alignment with company objectives and service standards;
Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate performance, identify trends, develop forecasts, and support data-driven decision-making.
