For our client- a global energy technology leader that designs, services, and supports industrial gas engine power generation systems, helping customers worldwide improve energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability -we are recruiting Field Service Technician_Gas Engine Power Generation, from Ramnicu Valcea or nearby cities.
Description
Executing service in compliance with the engine maintenance protocol, including checking oil and filters, replacing filters and valves, and performing relevant mechanical measurements;
Carrying out minor engine repairs in addition to planned maintenance activities;
Participating in major engine service activities while ensuring compliance with the manufacturer's manuals and procedures;
Managing and coordinating work with third-party suppliers;
Managing customer expectations and providing regular updates on maintenance progress;
Performing troubleshooting activities to identify mechanical engine failures and/or electronic faults in associated control systems, and reviewing historical engine data to help prevent unplanned outages;
Creating technical reports detailing the reason for site visits, actions performed, results achieved, materials used, and any required follow-up actions;
Maintaining an appropriate stock of approved spare parts on site and ensuring they are clean, organised, and stored correctly;
Working effectively both independently and as part of a team of technicians;
Processing time sheets, expense reports, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) forms, and job reports in a timely manner;
Complying with all EHS policies and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment;
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment;
Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers.
Requirements
Previous experience as: Car mechanic/electrician; Marine mechanic/electrician; Industrial electrician/mechanic; Other relevant electro-mechanical profiles;
Prior professional experience with Industrial gas engines/ Gas engine power generation systems- advantage;
Good technical understanding and IT skills;
PLC knowledge, would be considered a plus;
Good level of English (medium or upper);
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills;
Willingness to travel several days per week away from home for work purposes (80% of the time);
Category B driving licence.
