For our client, a company that covers design from smart homes to intelligent offices and commercial buildings, we are recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer, Smart Buildings, from Bucharest, to help wire up the future — literally!
Description
Developing, preparing, and managing conventional and building automation electrical projects, schedules, and workflows, ensuring all activities are aligned with the project’s scope, budget, and timeline;
Taking full responsibility for reviewing and approving all planning documentation related to electrical systems and projects;
Ensuring proper planning for the integration of smart home technologies such as lighting control, shading control, security systems, HVAC systems, and home automation platforms;
Ensuring all plans comply with relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices;
Ensuring compliance with internal policies and legal requirements;
Working with partners, engineers, designers, and contractors to understand project requirements and constraints, ensuring all electrical planning aspects are considered;
Identifying potential risks or issues in planning and recommending corrective actions to mitigate delays or cost overruns.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent work experience);
Proven experience in electrical design – minimum 2 years;
Previous experience in residential, commercial, or large-scale smart home automation projects-advantage;
Certification or experience that qualifies you to sign off on planning documents (ANRE 2A/B);
Knowledge of tools like AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar;
Strong understanding of electrical systems, regulations, and codes;
Excellent organizational and time-management skills;
Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
