We are looking for a dynamic, strategic, and hands on Chief Executive Officer, in Bucharest, to take full executive and operational leadership of our client’s company, a leading distributor of tools and equipment. The incoming CEO will spearhead the growth strategy across an established multi-channel commercial structure spanning B2B distribution and direct e-commerce channels. This role requires a leader with a strong focus on organizational leadership, operational efficiency, financial performance, and change management, working alongside founders who remain strategically engaged while empowering full executive autonomy.
Description
Directing a leadership team of functional heads across Sales, E-Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, HR, and Service;
Inspiring and scaling the organization while fostering a culture of accountability, cross-departmental collaboration, and continuous improvement;
Driving operational optimization across all channels, including B2B Distribution, B2C Retail/E-Commerce, Marketplaces, Supply Chain/Logistics, and After-Sales Service;
Conducting end-to-end process audits to eliminate redundancies and streamline operational expenses;
Spearheading digital transformation initiatives while modernizing internal tools and performance systems;
Holding full P&L accountability for overall company performance;
Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management;
Monitoring key financial metrics, including EBITDA, Net Profit Margins, Commercial Margins, OPEX, Working Capital, and Productivity;
Orchestrating a smooth handover of executive duties from the founders and current leadership;
Implementing structured KPIs and performance frameworks across all business units;
Representing the company in relationships with strategic partners, key suppliers, and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Extensive experience in executive leadership (CEO, GM, COO) managing P&L for businesses with over 20 mil turnover;
Proven experience leading multi-functional teams across B2B Distribution, Retail/E-Commerce, Supply Chain, and Logistics;
Advanced expertise in P&L management, cash flow control, EBITDA stabilization, and margin optimization;
Strong background in process optimization, inventory management, performance frameworks, and change management;
Data-driven, results-oriented operational leader with high adaptability and strong communication skills in English and Romanian.
