For our client, a multinational company in the oil and gas industry, we are looking for an Automation Engineer.
Description
Ensures on-site technical support for laboratories in the following areas:
- Checks, calibrations, and metrological tests of the laboratory measuring and monitoring equipment included in the annual plan (pressure, temperature, flow, length, weight, density, viscosity, turbulence, and time measurement);
- Hardware issues of the devices used for data acquisition;
- Approved laboratory applications residing on the data acquisition computers.
Elaborates on the overall evidence (annual plan for checking, calibrations, and maintenance) of the testing equipment and auxiliary existing in the laboratory;
Ensures the checking and calibration of data acquisition and other laboratory equipment;
Owner of the process called “Testing and maintenance of the equipment”, being responsible for its conformity, efficacity and efficiency;
Ensures on-site technical support for the users in the following areas:
- Hardware issues of the devices used at data acquisition;
- Approved laboratory applications residing on the data acquisition computers.
Requests of the external calibrations in accredited calibration laboratories as a contact person;
Support the projects for the acquisition of the new lab equipment and the automation of the data collection;
Elaborates reports concerning metrology for the management analyses or other analyses;
Elaborates and updates the specific procedures for the equipment testing and work instructions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Automation/Mechanics/Electronics/Electromechanical;
Knowledge in automation of laboratory equipment;
Understanding of measurement principles and standards (SI units, traceability, uncertainty);
Advanced instrument-specific knowledge for measuring weight, volume, length, density, pressure, temperature, and flow rate;
Excellent knowledge of laboratory methods/procedures and laboratory equipment;
Knowledge of the English language – intermediate level;
Advanced knowledge in operating PCs and specific applications;
Good communication skills, attention to detail, objectivity, ability to adapt, initiative, promptitude, and integrated teamwork.
