Head of IT & Systems Architecture

We are looking for our client, a visionary and hands-on IT Manager to lead the technological landscape of a large-scale industrial manufacturer. The role is responsible for the strategic coordination of IT operations, system architecture, and software development across mission-critical production and enterprise environments. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in SQL, system integration, and industrial digitalization to enhance automation, drive digital transformation, and support seamless integration between enterprise systems and production processes
Descriere
Overseeing the overall architecture, reliability, scalability, and availability of all mission-critical IT systems, including servers, networks, cloud infrastructure, and core business applications;
Defining and enforcing organization-wide IT standards, system architectures, and best practices to ensure long-term performance, resilience, and scalability;
Leading multidisciplinary IT teams (infrastructure, support, software development, and database administration), aligning operations and delivery with business strategy and performance objectives;
Establishing and governing IT operational processes, work procedures, escalation models, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency and service excellence;
Providing hands-on technical leadership in strategic initiatives, complex projects, and high-level architectural and technology decisions;
Managing system lifecycle operations, including updates, patching, backup strategies, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning;
Coordinating and actively contributing to software development, automation, and system integration initiatives across the organization;
Applying advanced programming expertise (particularly in SQL) to database design, complex query development, performance optimization, and stored procedures;
Designing and integrating applications, databases, and automated workflows to streamline operational and production processes;
Overseeing internal application architecture and ensuring seamless integration of ERP, BI, MES, and production systems;
Defining and implementing comprehensive IT security and data protection strategies, ensuring robust access governance and identity management;
Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, security standards, and internal policies across all IT systems and processes;
Partnering with operations and production teams to drive the digitalization of industrial processes and workflows;
Coordinating the integration of IT systems with production equipment to enable data-driven, connected operations;
Developing tailored digital solutions that optimize industrial performance, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
Cerințe
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within a production, industrial, or operational environment;
Strong SQL programming expertise, including database architecture, data modeling, performance optimization, and stored procedures;
Hands-on experience in software development, system integration, and process automation;
Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, and enterprise architectures;
Proven experience integrating enterprise systems (ERP, BI, MES, CRM, or industrial applications);
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Automation, IT, or a related field;
Strong leadership, strategic decision-making, and team management skills;
Excellent communication skills at both executive and technical levels;
Advanced English (written and spoken).
