Commercial Manager (Marketing & Sales-Customer Management)

For our client, one of the most awarded producers in the meat industry, we are looking for a Commercial Manager.


Sharing responsibility for the company's profitable growth strategy and successful implementation in Romania and neighboring countries;
Developing continuously improving strategies for marketing, sales, and distribution of the company's products (branded products, private label) on the home market and neighboring countries;
Developing existing customer partnerships and acquiring new customers and distribution partnerships;
Implementing the market strategy, product range, and sales strategy;
Contributing to the development of a market-oriented business and growth strategy;
Maintaining and expanding relationships with the top key accounts and the systemic further development of operational key account management and customer orientation in the entire organization;
Managing all commercial activities including sales, marketing, product management, customer service, and category management;
Maintaining and expanding existing relationships with our customers through regular contact with relevant decision-makers to effectively implement company objectives and strategy;
Negotiating the annual commercial conditions of ongoing contracts and the listing of new items;
Professionalizing the sales - including creating a pull effect in food retail/discounters, innovation-driven involvement of industrial customers, and offering holistic solutions in the food service/HORECA business - accompanied by all necessary marketing activities such as social media activities and other effective activities for profitable growth;
Elaborating the business plan (turnover, sales volume, sales discounts, coverage margin, numerical distribution) and submitting it to the company’s management for approval;
Elaborating the marketing plan (budget, actions, and marketing activities to reach the target market share), to pursue the objectives set by group management;
Transposing the business and marketing plan into measurable objectives for subordinate employees and evaluating them monthly to measure the achievement of objectives;
Monitoring daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and at the end of the year, the achievement of the objectives of the sales and marketing department;
Leading and organizing the activity of the staff from the sales & marketing department. Ensuring that sales and marketing department employees follow the procedures and work instructions in force;
Ensuring continuous improvement of the sales and marketing department process management;
Delegating, coordinating, and verifying tasks assigned to marketing and sales department staff;
Drawing up professional development programs for subordinate staff and coordinating and supervising their implementation;
Following the fulfillment of the business plan (quantitative) and monthly (quantitative, value-turnover) and profitability (margins);
Monitoring monthly the performance of products from the portfolio and the performance of clients;
Proposing measures in the case of non-performing items and the case of non-performing customers;
Identifying directions and business development opportunities;
Collaborating with other Managers within the company to achieve the objectives.


Higher education (economics, finance, trade, marketing, food industry/engineering, mathematics)
English - advanced level;
German - advanced level (advantage).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems;
Skilled in communication, socialization, and negotiation;
Proactive, persistent, amd analytical with a focus on results.
Good knowledge of Foods/FMCG (branded products, distributor own brands/PL) - ideally in sausage & ham categories;
Experienced in dealing with professional KAM control systems and advanced processes;
Experience of at least 5 years in a similar position, in the field of meat/meat products sales or FMCG company, in international chain stores (International Key Accounts);
Experience in the development and implementation of the market strategy, the product range and sales strategy, and the development of a market-oriented business and growth strategy.
