Junior DevOps and Technical Content Engineer

For one of our clients, a multinational computer technology corporation and the second-largest software company in the world, we are looking for a Junior DevOps and Technical Content Engineer.
Descriere
Administering, organizing, and maintaining GitHub repositories as part of ongoing DevOps and GitHub management;
Ensuring all technical marketing assets,such as demo code, sample applications, scripts, and documentation are well-structured and up to date;
Implementing and documenting Git best practices, including branching strategies like Gitflow, and championing pull request and code review processes;
Developing and maintaining automation scripts (e.g., with GitHub Actions, APIs, Python, or Bash) to streamline repository governance, CI/CD workflows, and repetitive tasks;
Ensuring the overall reliability and organization of the technical asset infrastructure on GitHub;
Focusing on technical content development, by building, updating, and maintaining high-quality code samples, small-scale demo applications, and proof-of-concept projects;
Creating clear and developer-friendly documentation, including tutorials and how-to guides;
Collaborating with senior technical marketing team members to prepare and polish technical demos for use in presentations, workshops, and virtual events;
Acting as a key player in collaboration and community support, working cross-functionally with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align technical materials with strategic goals;
Monitoring company’s GitHub organization and community forums to detect trends, frequently asked questions, and pain points developers face;
Collecting valuable community feedback and channeling it to relevant internal teams;
Assisting with technical communication, including screen-capture video recording and editing using tools like Camtasia, to produce straightforward technical tutorials and demo walkthroughs.
Cerințe
Strong foundational understanding and practical experience with Git and GitHub (cloning, branching, merging, pull requests);
Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language;
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and command-line interface (CLI) tools;
Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle and building simple applications;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience);
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
A proactive learner with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
Nice to have:
Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) concepts and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins);
Basic familiarity with cloud computing platforms;
Exposure to technologies like Kubernetes;
Previous experience writing technical documentation, vlogging, blog posts, or tutorials a plus;
Any experience with video editing (Camtasia) or basic UX/UI principles is considered a plus;
Experience contributing to open-source projects or participating in online developer communities.
